# Ask for the whole bill

A useful quote tells you what care includes, what repeats and what happens if the plan changes.

← The opening page

## The visit charge

Ask what the fee pays for. Does it cover the assessment alone, or also questions after the visit? Ask about the charge for an assessment that ends with no prescription.

## The recurring charge

Many online care plans charged a monthly membership fee, with medicine usually costing extra, when checked September 26, 2026.

Ask for the ongoing fee after any opening offer ends. Read the cancellation terms before agreeing to recurring payments.

### The medicine charge

For brand-name weight and diabetes drugs, the price depends on how you pay, as checked September 26, 2026. A cash offer differs from the maker’s published price or a price offered through a discount card. So are your share after insurance and the price under a government program, such as Medicare’s temporary payment program.

Ask which of these prices applies to you. A copay means your share when insurance helps pay. A government program’s price is for people who meet that program’s rules; it is not an offer for everyone.

## Tests and delivery

Ask whether the quote includes blood work, a separate lab visit, delivery and any supplies. Put an unknown beside each unanswered item rather than treating it as free.

## The cost of carrying on

Ask what later visits and repeat tests would cost. Ask how fees work during a pause, a change in treatment or a wait for an insurance decision.

## Your budget belongs in the conversation

Name the amount you can keep paying, rather than the amount you can manage once. Ask to discuss other care options if the total does not fit.
