Source notebook
Return to the rule behind the answer
For an uncertain claim, ask for the source that fits the medicine, the state and the date.
← The opening pageMedicine preparation and approval
A pharmacy can prepare a drug for a need a ready-made product cannot meet, according to FDA, the US drug review agency.
These pharmacy-made preparations had no FDA approval when checked September 26, 2026.
Ask which rule applies to the medicine, then check the pharmacy’s licence on its own.
The price and the coverage
Ask which kind of price the source gives. The GLP-1 Bridge is a temporary Medicare program to help pay for medicine. Read its terms. Take questions about your own costs to your plan.
Minnesota permission to practise
Minnesota’s medical, nursing and pharmacy boards each offer public licence lookups, as checked October 1, 2026.
For a person, search their full name; for a pharmacy, search the name of the business supplying your prescription. A search result is more useful when it matches the role in the care plan.
Where to take a complaint
For complaints about a Minnesota doctor’s or physician assistant’s conduct, contact the medical board. For a nurse’s conduct, contact the nursing board, as checked October 1, 2026.
Its pharmacy board handles pharmacy conduct complaints, but not customer-service or price disputes.
The state Attorney General’s Office accepts consumer complaints about misleading advertising and business disputes, including health care disputes.
Let the date stay attached
Compare the source’s date with the claim you were given. If they differ, ask for the current rule and an explanation before treating the question as settled.
